Have you ever heard of a Life Map?

As my clients know I spend a lot of time with them to gain clarity on their place in God’s story for their life.  We spend time discussing what they love to do.  Looking at spiritual gifts and talking about what feels right.  I have a variety of tools I use to help guide our conversations and to provide them with exercises to go deeper.

About a year ago, I came across a new tool I could incorporate into my toolbox.  The use of Life Maps.  Life maps are created to provide a visual representation of snapshots in your life.  You explore your past look at your present and use the information to guide your future.   Since finding out about the use of Life Maps I have been researching various tools to help clients create a map. I am happy to say I have selected one that is Chrisitan based.  Listen to My Life is designed to help you in recognizing God in your life story and how to respond to HIm in the midst of your life.  Sounds awesome, doesn’t it!

I am excited about this program and I am looking forward to working with you to go through the eight visual maps in the Listen to My Life Portfolio.  We will go through the maps one on one or you can arrange a small group workshop.  The maps we will create are:

Life Map #1 – My Life Now

The My Life Now map is for you to document your life today.  You will answer questions to help you get a big picture view of what your life is today.

Life Map #2 – My Life Story

My Life Story map will help you uncover how beloved you are by God, so you can live gracefully, purposefully, and without fear.

Life Map #3 – Peak Experiences

Peak Experiences map will focus on looking at your peak experiences and recognize patterns in your life.

Life Map #4 – Valley Experiences

The Valley Experiences map is focused on you giving and receiving forgiveness.

Life Map #5 – Reviewing Your Days

Reviewing Your Days map helps you know when you are moving towards or away from God.

Life Map #6 – Desires and Longings

Desires and Longings map helps you reflect on the other five maps and start to think about your future.

Life Map #7 – Life-giving Rhythms

The Life-giving Rhythms map focuses on how you will stay engaged with God during your journey.

Life Map #8 – Falling Forward

Falling Forward map is designed to help you consider what needs to be left behind, what you sense God wants to express through you, what options will be pursued, what next steps will be taken, and what bold requests you are ready to make of God.

Does this sound interesting but you aren’t sure if it is for you?  Well, it is if you:

  • are seeking God in a deeper way and desire to rediscover who you are through His eyes.
  • have thought, “I don’t know myself anymore.”
  • wonder, “Is there something more?”
  • stand at a crossroads in life and ask, ” Which way will lead me toward more of who I am made to be?”
  • are looking for a way to understand the restlessness that you feel inside.
  • are relationally at odds with yourself or others in ways that have ties to your past.

Reach out today and let’s work together to map your past, present and guide your future.  I am excited about this program and facilitating you through the process.
