What is Your Place In God’s Story?
“Now I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, while the men who were with me did not see the vision; nevertheless, a great dread fell on them, and they ran away to hide themselves.” – Daniel 10:7
Starting and running a business isn’t easy in a world stressing six-figure incomes, being a person of influence, and implementing “formulas” for success. Often when we work through the “vision of the world” we end up feeling like a failure because we only made $100 last month, have one or two faithful customer and the formula that worked for others (i.e. everybody else) isn’t working for us. By trying to be like everyone else we are missing the greatest gift…serving God’s purpose for our life!
Before reading on, take a moment to think back to the moment the vision for your business was revealed to you..How did you feel? Did think success would happen overnight? Was it about the money? Was it from God?
If you already have a business…What changes have you made since day 1? What keeps you going each day when things get tough? Is it of God?
Your answers to these questions can offer some great insight into where you have been. Now let’s look ahead. As you take your next step forward, the most important thing you can do is to shake up your journey and start seeing your business from God’s perspective so your vision aligns with His vision.
You need to realize your business is to run based on God’s will not yours. In order to receive the riches you won’t have room enough to receive you need to work under His law not mans. Also, acknowledge when you are using God as the reason for moving forward with your desires not His….
So with each step forward be sure to:
- Have faith and continually pray
- Persevere and don’t let defeat or fear derail you
- Be patient for it won’t happen in your time but in God’s Time
- Be Disciplined and do what needs to be done to make things happen
Today, I am continuing to work on the vision God has given me. I am excited about what has been placed in me. I have made my plan for K. Gaskins Consulting and I am working the plan to make sure my place in God’s Story is told.
