The “Sunday Reset”: A 15-Minute Ritual for a More Intentional Week
How do you keep your big-picture vision alive amidst the daily chaos of running a business? How do you ensure your daily actions are actually aligned with the life you want to build?
The answer is a simple, grounding ritual: the weekly reflection.
I call it the Sunday Reset. It’s a bridge between your 30,000-foot vision and your on-the-ground actions for the week ahead. It’s how you stop living in reactive mode and start living with intention.
Your 15-Minute Sunday Reset Ritual
This isn’t about exhaustive planning. It’s a short, soulful check-in.
- Reflect (5 mins): Look back at the past week. What went well? What felt heavy? Where did you feel most energized and aligned? No judgment, just observation.
- Release (5 mins): Write down anything you need to let go of before the new week begins—a mistake, a frustration, an unmet expectation. Close the journal on it, literally and figuratively.
- Intend (5 mins): Look at the week ahead. What is the ONE thing that would make the week feel successful and aligned with your vision? What is your core intention? Not your to-do list, your intention. (e.g., “My intention is to be present,” or “My intention is to honor my boundaries.”)
This weekly reflection stops the cycle of chaos. It puts you back in the driver’s seat. It ensures your vision isn’t just a pretty idea, but the guiding force behind everything you do.
Actionable Nurturing Step: Block 15 minutes in your calendar this Sunday for your first reset. Put on some calming music, grab a journal, and walk through the three steps. Notice how you feel starting your Monday.

Thank you – a great reminder. Although I do a soulful morning reflection before writing that “to do list” – it never occurred to me put on the music and grab my journal.
I meditate every morning. It helps. Hope my comment works on your site.
