Are you someone with a great business idea but feel unprepared to take the plunge? Well, you aren’t alone.  Many first-time solepreneurs are stopped in their tracks because they don’t know where to start.  To help you move forward here are a few resources that can assist in moving from idea to reality:

  • Small Business Administration (SBA): Visit www.sba.gov for free online classes and other resources to help you complete your plan.
  • SCORE: Visit www.score.org and sign up to work with a mentor to assist you. SCORE has volunteers who work with business owners in starting and operating their businesses.
  • Search for local business development classes.  In my local area, there are Women Business Development Centers and local community colleges that offer classes on starting a business.  There are typically costs associated with taking these classes so choose one that works within your budget.
  • Hire a consultant for personalized one-on-one assistance.  This is a great option if your budget allows you to work with a consultant to write a business plan and walk you through the challenges you may encounter.

By reaching out and utilizing one or all of these resources you will have that great business idea on the market in no time.

Praying Your Success,

Kim
